Research project for la Poste with French design school ENSCI.

laposte.data.fr is an online tool that lets you build innovative data-based services. A simplified ‘bloc-construction’ system enables people with little knowledge in coding to build complex and peronalised services. The plateform lets people share and exchange their constructions.

There are 3 types of blocks:

• data,
• operations,
• visualisation,

There are 5 colors of blocks:

• yellow: la Poste,
• purple: official partners (certified) / open data,
• blue: user-generated (un-certified),
• red: visualisation / interaction
• grey: standard treatment (math  / if/then / sort)

The identity if each service is given by the order and color of the blocs used. Hence the pixel-like icons. It makes the concept clearly recognisable. A user with a good knowledge of the color codes will be able to understand a service with a glimpse.

This will make la Poste one of the first and most important data providers.
